To which other distros do other users/dev tend to leave to? Is there any mainstream - is it archlinux?

Interesting... From my experience, more often than not, I get mentioned in the ChangeLog just for reporting a bug.

In my memories I've reported several dozens of issues in bugzilla and contributed to many more (incl. ebuilds) - I can't remember about a mention in the change log aside from a link ...

This issue is still valid. For the many years I use gentoo this is repetitive thing I remember. I had trouble with encrypted file systems running gentoo so often - Every time it hit me suddenly without any warning while doing an update or after the next reboot. Not nice at all.

That said, I'm also ...

Thx a lot! The most important site for me is a one where you need a registration. Unfortunately I did not manage to get some support from the developers over there. As long as I've seen this on other sites as well it might be a general issue on my side.

If you really want to test it, try this:

Hm, are there alternatives in using different plugins? Maybe I've to check this.

Right now, ff shows "Shockwave Flash 10.0.r42" in the Add-ons screen. There is also this nspluginwrapper/NPAPI in Version 1.2.2 listet as active which might be neccesary?

Thx for having a look at this...

objects missig in flash

When browsing the web I sometimes encounter sites using flash where obviously objects are missing. It's not just text, also frames and whole (text) boxes, not sure about graphics as long I can see some of them (but no text at all). I checked the X11 font howto and tried several other things, any ...

Here we go:

Don't know since when, but changing my resolution by pressing CTRL ALT +/- is not working anymore. Changing by using xrandr works.

Any ideas?

So, what is wrong here? After migrating from a working ipw3945 config (with older kernel) I just can't get it to work:
