Wrong. The PSP is case-insensitive. Your one and only problem is that you were disconnecting before everything was flushed to the PSP.

I think I might have the same problem. Whenever stuff starts getting a little busy with 3D, I get lots of dropped frames.

Just to let you know, xmame is dead. You'd be better off downloading and installing SDLMAME.

There's no need to reboot the box. This isn't Windows. ;)
Just a login and logout will suffice.

The author took the game down after being approached by the company that created Geometry Wars for the Xbox 360, which Gridwars is basically a clone of. So we'll never be seeing this in portage.

To have spell checking enabled, be sure you have one of the several spell checkers (aspell and so on) installed as well as a dictionary for it. Then enable spell checking in Configure Kopete -> Behavior -> Chat tab -> Enable automatic spell checking.

I used to play with all the alternative kernels, but I find none of them were very stable and the change in speed was really a placebo effect. Nothing really to change kernels for unless they have some features you need. I just stick with gentoo-sources now, which has a few low latency/desktop ...

Darkstalker you are still saying that this has to do with someone not wanting to learn the base assumption being that the current way things work warrants no changes at all after you learn it because it is the most effective and efficient way of doing things. This is of course false on its face ...

I never once said that Unix/Linux is perfect or that everything MS did with Windows is wrong. I don't see the point of changing everything to suit someone that doesn't want to learn how a system works. We've got standards and while those standards aren't perfect, they are pretty damn good. All this ...

So how does that make this proposal bad, and why must you assume that the people asking for this don't know thier way around a unix box? All you have said so far is "I know how it works so anyone who suggests anythong different is being lazy." Would I be lazy if I suggested that Windows learn to ...

There's no point in running glxgears because there is no 3d acceleration. Because there is no direct access to the graphics card, we can't have 3d acceleration, and X uses the fbcon driver.

Try installing alephone-infinity, I believe it installs the data files for you. I know I did not have to install them manually.

Re: Not sure where to put Aleph One game data

I have been playing Aleph One on my Mac lately, so I decided to install it for Linux as well.

The problem is this: I don't know where to put the data files (ex Sounds, Map, Shapes, etc...)

I installed it through portage, and the actual game binary is installed in /usr/games/bin . All I need to ...
