I like what pjp has to say, and szatox.
You should dig deeper into their advice.
Just out of interest, why not just hibernate?

You're welcome! Just trying to help.
I seem to remember I still needed to have pulseaudio installed even though pipewire is the new way of dealing with sound.
You may still need to have an element of pulseaudio installed.
Just to be sure, are you aware of this?

I'm a little confused by this.

So does compiling steam-client-meta minus the steamruntime USE flag not solve the problem?

Hello

First thing I would say is you are building using unstable packages.
Revert back to stable and see if that solves your problem, then take it from there.

Hope this helps.

Might not be the right suggestion to offer but....

If you suspend, then a trickle of power is required to keep the data stored in the RAM, in time it will drain the battery.
Therefore I would hibernate (to disk) instead of suspending.
This will save the current state of the OS to disk, and power ...

Bugzilla advice sought

Hey team,

Just tried to launch Cities:Skylines using the steam client.

Regardless of whether I use wayland or Xorg, the game seems to crash upon loading from the option to "resume".

Unable to leave full screen and access a tty to kill it unless I raise the skinny elephants.
Even so I have to ...

I did an alternative setup. I exported my distfiles over samba with a password so that each client can fetch and update the central repository. This also works with the portage tree itself, if you like. This way only one client needs to run six-sync, and all others just do eix-update.

Yes, mines ...

This is really beginning to annoy me now.
I'm beginning to think the new layout for portage, i.e /var/db/repos/gentoo and /var/cache/distfiles
is breaking the replicator.
