Well, taht removed the errors but not the problem.

Anyway I found out the solution, on the [global] part I had:

nt acl support = no
so I putted on the [profiles] to Yes and voila it worked 8)

I'm setting up Samba with ldap backend and everythin appears to be working correctly except for profiles.

Using:
net-fs/samba-3.0.2a-r2 +acl +cups +kerberos +ldap -mysql -oav +pam +python +readline -xml
net-nds/openldap-2.1.26 +berkdb +crypt -debug +gdbm -ipv6 +kerberos -odbc +perl +readline ...

I'm having the exact same problem.

No i didn't use localpurge, I have this since I installed the server.
But to be real accurate, I installed the server with only the USE flags that where needed:

USE="-* apache2 ncurses ssl crypt berkdb tcpd pam xml nls perl python"

nls I added wen I got the first problem on php if i remenber ...

I've tried searching the forums about this problem, but nothing really worked. I compiled glibc with +nls but wen i do locales -a i get:

nilo root # locale -a
C
POSIX


My guess is a need do rebuild the locales but how ?

This only happen on one of my boxes, cuz at first I compiled ...

I agree, this is not right how can one guess that to have OCI support you have to do all this, i was lucky to find the post and even now i ask the same question: how to enable the ora_... functions ???

The bug #47759 is the problem i was having.

Anyway this is the way i fix it, change your MAKEOPTS="-j3" to MAKEOPTS="-j2" and then it will compile.

i'm having the same problem here with a Xeon, stuck here i already tryed to remove some of the CFLAGS options the result is the same.

Does anyone know a way to fix this ?

I'm also using pure-ftpd v1.0.16b with no problems.

Maybe you should try another daemon just to be sure

i already tryed to re-emerge gtk, it compiled with no problems
gtk-demo command works it appears that gtk is working.

Also i tryed to put on USE FLAGS -gtk, but wen emerging mozilla i get the same error.
