I'm surprised SteelStorm hasn't been mentioned yet. I bought/preordered the second episode a while ago, just haven't had time to play it.

Looks good. If you unmerge surf, don't forget to unmerge dmenu.

I use an extremely minimal window manager by surfraw called dwm. The whole thing is less than 2,000 lines of C code. It uses dmenu. surfraw != surf. surfraw isn't written by the same person/people who wrote surf or dwm. The only ...

[SOLVED][funtoo]sandbox-2.4 broken?

I updated sys-apps/sandbox to version 2.4 on my ~amd64 laptop, and now it spits out the
following when emerging anything:

I solved this. I needed to add `sshd: ALL` to /etc/hosts.allow. Not sure if it's the safest thing, but it works for now.

[SOLVED]ssh connection closed

My ssh server magically stopped accepting connections. This is what ssh -v shows when I try to connect.

ccache could create odd compilation failures. I'm not using ccache.

Could you post the emerge --info? It'd be great to identify the build command that hangs. Also, it would be useful to see the log output just before the hang. Does anything interesting appear in dmesg? I'll try and build chromium ...

Setting PORTAGE_TMPDIR to /home/portage/tmp (the /home partition is 95GB) doesn't stop compilation from stalling either, so it's not a space issue. I guess I'll go file a bug report..

May be your are running out of space on the build partition ? Just installed here without any problems I don't think so. My /var is 4GB formatted with reiser4 (with compression), and right now df -h shows:

/dev/sda9 3.9G 839M 3.0G 22% /var

www-client/chromium-7.0.517.41 stalls while compiling

I've been trying to build chromium (the web browser, not the game), but every time I've tried it stalls after compiling `media/filters/omx_video_decoder.cc'. I first tried building with my normal MAKEOPTS="-j6"*, it stalled there, and I've gone down sequentially to MAKEOPTS="-j3" with every attempt ...

I'm using your kernel seed for 2.6.35.5, with the brainfuck scheduler and reiser4 patches. With my first attempt, I managed to get a kernel that ...

Does paludis still use /etc/portage (I think it did a while ago)? If it does you can add /etc/portage/profile/package.provided, which contains package atoms. I do this for gentoo-sources.

Try with your CFLAGS set to

Code: Select all

-O0 -ggdb -pipe
I'm not sure if the sse flags would do anything to prevent relative debug information.

Mh, did that and emptied the caches, still I don't get more info out of it. Do I need to compile something else then ncmpcpp with these settings? Make sure to `make clean` first. That should be enough to get ncmpcpp built with debug symbols.

Are you building ncmpcpp with portage, or are you doing ...

How so?
add -ggdb to CFLAGS and make sure you don't have -fomit-frame-pointer in your CFLAGS either. -O0 can also help.

I'm having problems with .cue files, whenever I try to add one to the playlist, ncmpcpp segfaults. Here is a backtrace (for some reason I can't copy/paste it). http://omploader.org/vNG90Mw
