Inspired by another thread at forum i did:

Code: Select all

sudo mv /lib/rc/init.d/nettree /lib/rc/init.d/nettree2
and .... works.

Any ideas what was wrong?

problems with net.lo ( _exists: command not found )

hi i have used wlan0 with NetworkManager for a long time but now i get
strange errors:


[pietia@localhost ~]$ sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager start
* Bringing up interface lo
* Running preup ...
/etc/init.d/net.lo: line 481: _exists: command not found
* ERROR: interface lo does not exist ...

hi, just extract arch package to the root path "/" :)

In summary:
1) download sopcast linux version http://download.sopcast.cn/download/sp-auth.tgz
2) extract package
3) sudo mv sp-sc-auth /usr/bin/sopcast
4) download gui frontend from arch mirror http://ftp.iasi.roedu.net/mirrors/archlinux.org ...

I have asus a6tc notebook with geforce 7300. i have had freezes for a very long time
until i have tried the newest drivers from nvidia.com ! So you have better check this :)

You can also mess around with LDFLAGS, but there isn't really any consensus on those so you should look them up yourself (LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--as-needed" would be a decent minimum though).

As we can read in wiki - LDFLAGS for Turion are not listed in safe flags. May i ask - why ?

Yup, the Turions have the pni flag. As for the stage1 install I know it's not supported anymore, but still I will do it. Stage1 gives me an incredible speed boost (OOffice compiles in 7 hours instead of 10, kernel compiles in under 25 minutes).
