Well I did a lot of work after doing my last post.
I looked at the drivers again.
X11 - would do fullscreen correctly but would crash on a hiccup.
XVideo - displays the resolution of both screens but in one screen, very annoying.
Simple DirectMedia Layer - does both screens at both screen resolution ...

VLC Output + Flash Fullscreen

I am using the unstable version of vlc, which I much prefer over the old.
The thing is I would like to use it as my main media viewer but it sometimes had a problem loading videos. I needed vlc because it can play stuff my other playes can't, and it plays them well.
On the recent Beta update of 0.9 ...

I'm not much of an expext on 64-bit archs
(even thought I have machine cable of doing it, but I chose not to)
Isn't there a 32-bit library installed on 64-bit so it can be compatiable with this sort of stuff.

Another thing, isn't Firefox 2 installed as a 32-bit version, so it would work with the ...

Mozilla firefox doesn't need to be installed to use the flash.

I downloaded the binary of Opera 9.5 and then Adobe flash from Adobe.com

I placed the flash library in the plug-in folder of Opera. Loaded up opera, made sure it detected it by going through preferences, I think,
Low and behold it ...

I mange to get flash working on Opera. You use the latest stable 9.0.124, and you use opera 9.5.
Opera should then detect it, which should be viewable but I can't remember how as I am bck on firefox.

uim-xim and xterm [SOLVED]

It took me all day and 10 months to get me where I am. I have finally solved my problem.

My original .xinitrc file wasn't how i wrote it, it is infact:

. ~/.zshenv
exec /usr/local/bin/enlightenment_start
uim-xim &

(that gives the hint im using zsh shell) which gave the required variables in every ...

uim-xim and xterm [SOLVED]

I have been learning my languages, Japanese and Chinese.
I began with SCIM, but I had a huge issue that I couldn't type Japanese or Chinese into xterm, so I moved to UIM.
UIM has uim-fep, which would give me the ability to do so, but this wouldn't do.
Using uim-fep, means I can't do a Ctrl + Space ...

It must of have been this thread, but I fixed the problem. It was because hal's demon wasn't initiating. After adding it to rc-update everything is ok, but hal is a bit iffy sometimes.

It was hal after all. The demon wasn't being started at the beginning so there was no way for to detect newly plugged devices in usbs. Hooray it is fixed. :D :) :D

As I have some free time I had a look around the web to see if anything new had cropped up. A couple of things did crop up. It may not be the kernel what so ever, it could be the software. Apparently HAL has something to do with it and if it fails use the command hdparm.

it didn't work. I don't get it. It acts like it can't detect anything from multiple usb unless rebooted, yet stick a usb stick in and it sees it.

I have been messying around with my multicard reader ever since I uninstalled something I shouldn't of. I re-installed using 2007.0 and sorted out all modules to be included in the kernel to use the multicard reader. This is where I found it didn't work as normal.
Back to today, I have messed around ...

After trying what you suggested my udev rules don't work any more for some odd reason, even though udev knows its there. How annoying. Can't get multi-card reader to work probably[SOLVED]

Using the SCSI drivers to make it get the /dev/sde bit over a usb connection.
I have to restart it (disconnecting and reconnecting the internal wire) so that `usb-storage` restarts and searches the card reader again.
If I take the card out afterwards it will say it's still there.

Here is my ...

Update on things. I have used my laptops kernel and .config file and added all the hardware needed (not yet removed) and it reads the card reader as long as I unplug it and replug it. usb-storage does a scan finds the card that I've stuck in and shows up on cat /proc/partitions. I did what you said and that got it back to the way things normally worked, sde instead of ube. Now it sees my card reader I stick a card in, dmesg it nothing comes up. I went back to the wiki but I've ticked all the boxes and made it, so is there boxes ticked that may stop it from working?

I just want to ask a question that may or may not help. I have the same intel hda setting but my sound card is a cmi-9880 but whats yours? Maybe do some research on the card itself then just the module. If this doesn't help, sorry.
