heh, well exact point of this topic is that one-user-system do not need login manager at all
thus saving you either from emerging additional packages to system and/or one default runlevel service less
everybody wins in any case. isnt that cool?

ever thought about having a really slick, neat minimal xfce/fluxbox system without having to emerge some bloaty and/or crappy login manager such as {x,k,g}dm which you actualy dont need and dont want because they usualy pull in bunch of kde/gnome related stuff?

after a while a built new desktop with xfce and since than i have issues with sun-jdk-1.4.2.16 when running revdep-rebuild because revdep constandly rebuild sun-jdk-1.4.2.16 over and over again every time i run it..

i tried today to load f.g.o to search on some texts but suddenly on login section of page elinks died terribly:

it seems latest sync and emerge -NDuva world pull in new udev-115 which apperently solved the problem, usb stick and ...

i have this crapy problem too,i tred ivman and it somehow mount device but not always i plug it in..
im sure that kernel is ok because automounting worked once but wont now..
is there any "automount holy grail" available?

ok folks, libXfont-1.3.0 is in portage and its work for me,thank to #gentoo-bugs

i asked on #gentoo-bugs this morning, they said it should be fixed as far as today by pulling a libXfont-1.3.0 in portage so i guess syncing later today or tommorow should do the trick..
