That's strange, maybe your overlay is borked? Did you manually look to see if the ebuild is there? If it is not try deleting and re-adding the overlay.

I have checked out a fresh copy from git://git.overlays.gentoo.org/proj/kde.git and the ebuild is definitely there.

I think phonon brings in gnome dependencies, both the xine and gstreamer backends are gnome based.

I don't think that removing gnome-menus will break any kde apps, but it does provide menu entries which will be broken. It should fix itself on the next boot or if you run kbuildsyscoca4, or restart ...

That bug looks like developer error, there was something committed recently to do with screen edges, I would wait it out.

AFAIK Qt 4.5 is required for kde-live.

I think it is because of your anti-aliasing settings. You need to open system settings and then go to Appearance -> fonts -> use anti-aliasing - disable it to start. If you cannot read anything then use the search functions in the kmenu and system settings ...

Looks like you have multiple installs of libmysqlclient.so

Try searching for them and removing the extra files.

locate libmysqlclient.so should find them, then you can use equery to find who owns them.

It looks like you need to uninstall kdebase-startkde (and preferably all the kde-3.5 stuff).

For any nvidia users, I would not recommend updating to 180.35. It seems to make random programs hang. I downgraded back to 180.29.
