I just tried a workaround. It worked for me...

I fooled the ati driver to think I am running xorg 7.1, this will work fine as long as no other package depends on the xorg version number! I just patched the xorg version!

Please note that this is a workaround, the only test I performed was running ...

As this commit, xorg-server.1.3.99.999 requires inputproto >= 1.4.2, so doesn't compile. I remember (maybe I'm wrong) an inputproto-9999 ebuild from your overlay, primozic. We should wait for a oficial portage ebuild or use one other? thx!

i have Yesterday updated my xserver and my beryl stuff. All packages compile clean.
After I restart my Xsession, i have a error :


(EE) module ABI major version (1) doesn't match the server's version (2)

IMHO, glxgears doesn't have textures nor lights, is so simple to see any error. But any other gl application shows buggy too so isn't Beryl.

Hi! I updated my Xorg and now Beryl doesn't start and makes my computer freeze... although Beryl's output says Passed all and any other 3D application works fine. When i copy a song (something) to the device, the PC tries to change permissions, doing an error and next file will not beeing copied if i don't umount the device. I think (maybe) a umask option in fstab should solve this, but says that is not a ...

I was reinstalling Gentoo in another machine and I did it quickly and didn't install a dhcp client, so i copied the distfile from my machine and emerged it. ok. But net.eth0 doesn't any dhcp client... What I dit wrong? I tryed putting modules_net=( "dhcpcd" ) and says "We need dhcpcd-2.0.0 ...

ANY output and file is still there... I'll see on it on another moment, but that's a problem with this machine, which i get another "randomly" problems (maybe motherboard or power supply... hdd i'm sure are ok because i bought recently)
