I have the same problem. I have enabled radiotap in my .config but I still get the kismet error "kismet server not reporting power levels".

I used to get power levels with the external driver that has now been removed from portage.

Any ideas?

I just experienced this problem for the first time yesterday after months of having a stable i915 system. I tried to play a video file in mplayer and it crashed with exactly the same error. :(

After checking back through my emerge.log for possible clues I note that 7 days ago I upgraded the i810 ...

I have the same problem. The exact description of the problem I have is listed as a bug at:

but there is no resolution! It appears the problem only occurs when you terminate the rename operation by clicking the blank space in the file browser window, NOT ...

Thanks very much. The results of the equery told me that /dev/sg0 was the offending device. I changed the group et voila burn burn burn! :D
