Hi everybody,
I have convert a old gentoo 10.1 x86 physical machine to virtualbox VM using rsync.
Compile kernel to recognize disks, etc, etc.
But i still have an anoying issue each time a reboot i need to MAKEDEV sda, pty, random, urandom ...
sys-apps/baselayout
Latest version available: 1.12.13
Linux pt 2.6.31-gentoo-xxxx-pt #5 PREEMPT Thu Oct 11 00:50:49 WEST 2012 i686 AMD Phenom(tm) II X3 720 Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
Gentoo Base System release 1.12.13
Can i fix this whitout using MAKEDEV to workaround and set permanet /dev populated. _________________ Best Regards,

Update to a kernel that isn't over one year out of date, then enable devtmpfs. |
