I have a fresh install of Genoo, and I am unable to get sound. I checked my kernel to see if I left out any drivers or modules/drivers and i could not find any.
Code: | lspci -v | grep -i audio |
States I have a Intel Corporation Panther Point High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04
Found no drivers.
Thanks. |

alsaconf is outdated and hasn't worked for years. Other distros don't even ship it anymore.
You're probably missing the correct modules in the kernel. The simplest way to get it working is compiling all hda codecs. Then once you know which one you need, you can recompile the kernel with just that one. |
