Cluttered Desktop... (Solved)

I'm wondering if there is anyway to clear up the desktop? I'm using Gnome and would like to have everything, even the auto-mount drives, that mounts on my desktop to be on the Panel, thus clearing up the Desktop. Thanks for any suggestions!

open up gconf, and go to applications > nautilus > desktop (i think)
there are the options to get rid of volumes etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm really wanting to see them, just on the Panel Bar. Any way to do that?
