Trying to emerge apache-2.0.46, I get the following error:
Code:

root@idk-002c307 seb # emerge apache
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) net-www/apache-2.0.46 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) httpd-2.0.46.tar.gz

buildconf: autoconf not found.
           You need autoconf version 2.13 or newer installed
           to build Apache from CVS.
./buildconf failed for apr

I have autoconf-2.13 installed. Reemerging autoconf-2.13 doesn't help.
Any idea ?

Regards,
Sébastien.

Hum, I doubt of my assertion that I have autoconf-2.13. In fact, that's just the number the following comman returns me:
Code:

root@idk-002c307 seb # autoconf --version
Autoconf version 2.13

But an other method returns the newest version:
Code:

root@idk-002c307 seb # emerge -p autoconf

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild   R  ]
sys-devel/autoconf-2.57-r1

I don't understand why this incoherence exists, nevertheless apache should compile with or without.

Sébastien.

I opened a bug #21971 for that in bugs.gentoo.org but I think it could be deeper than a problem with autoconf.

Regards,
Sébastien.
