I thought I might emerge the 0.30 package and see if its worth playing. Any opinions, so I know what I'm getting into? :D

I tried it recently, it's worth looking at. I'm not sure if it was 0.2 or 0.3, but it had a tendency to segfault quite a bit.

I'm in the process of reading the starters manual. Definitely reading it is interesting. The developer is involved with the history of it. Sounds like he has alot of information on how the subs work, other vessels, history of the time, the war. I tried it without the manual and it would be almost impossible to figure out.

Yeah I noticed. :p I had to hit every key on the keyboard to see what did what. And a lot of the dials are impossible to read, seein' as I know not a word of German.

It's a gorgeous-looking game. I'm going to try it one day, but I'm waiting for missions, enemy AI, damage, etc.

Could be worth reporting those segfaults to the developers... ;)

They seemed to be known issues. Maybe I'll install it again with debug support at some point.
