Ok.. I'm really bored. Looking around at things on the web to keep my interest I happened across the Gentoo store and saw bumper stickers. They're nice, but they lack a certain pizazz. So, being bored and tired I decided to come up with some ideas in bumpersticker format. Two things I came up with were:

# emerge life

and

"i'd rather be compiling"

I thought they were amusing. Some might find the emerge one insulting or something, but I think its cute. I am a massive Gentoo addict (and linux in general) and all I do is spend my days here on this forum and tinkering with my system. If only a real life was as easy as merging software! *laugh* Anyhow I whipped up a few images in Gimp real quick just to get the idea across. Let me know what you think.

The fact that I wouldn't advertise that I'm a linux-nerd, somehow tells me not to take part in this. No offence :)
I'd rather drop dead than having a linux-slogan on my car.

While I wouldn't put it on my car... for the same reason I wouldn't put the "StarFleet Academy" sticker on my car... I would definitely stick it on my gentoo box somewhere. I like it!

Yeah, it's a nice idea, but isn't for everyone :) But yeah, I'd rather have a cool logo on my box, than as my bumpersticker.
And since we're talking about bumperstickers, I would put up something like.. "So many pedestrians, so litle time" or "Fuck off bitch" :)

You mean everyone doesn't already know you're a geek? God, that must be nice. lol. Any time something goes wrong I'm the first person to be called. I dunno, geeks aren't as looked down upon as they used to be (at least computer geeks). If nothing else MS made dorks popular. First it was, "You can use the internet? Cool!", then "You actually got linux to install? Wow!". Its becoming more of a status symbol to be a geek now, at least here. If you can fix a computer, you're everyones best friend! So.. you've never bought anything from ThinkGeek? 8O

Anyways, I'd slap those stickers on my car. I've seen several linux stickers on cars, but not enough. We're the preachers of the new millenium. Linux is the path to salvation, do not be tempted by the so-called ease of Windows; Bill Gates is the father of lies. Go forth and spread the good news!

I believe the slogan "Emerge Yourself" was tossed around on these fourms a while back.
