need help with civ3, cedega

civ3 has never worked in cedega despite being "supported".

i tried it again today. installs fine. click play. nothing at all.

so i patch the game to 1.29f. play -- get the splash and a "Insert CD" popup.

so i find a no-cd patch. now the changes resolution and fails to run, but still no explaination as to why.

i'm pretty close to cancelling my cedega subscription because they still haven't fixed support for any of the games i play.

I had no problem to install Civ3 with cedega 5.1. I also installed Conquests and no problem too! However, the game is slow in Linux. That's weird,
because Civ IV runs much faster than civ III and even if my cpu is only 1.4 Ghz

Regular Civ3 works for me. Can you try to launch the game without true type fonts in cedega?

the HDD spins and makes noises, then a black window pops up and then it disappears. civ3 just seems unplayable in cedega.
