Hi,
I'm having problems running KDE on my OpenMosix kernel. After a while, it seems to have some troubles with the DCOP server, saying "it can't use Klauncher" anymore. Restarting KDE, removing tmp DCOP files or going to lower runlevels and back doesnt seem to help. Rebooting does help.
I tried "mosctl stay" so my kde processes (like kdeinit) wouldn't migrate. This seems to help, but after a few days, my system completely locks up!
Does anyone have similar problems? And the problems with the DCOP server, are they caused by the migration of kde processes? I didn't find any postings on this subject ...
Thanks!
Tom. |

I read something that openmosix possibly sends some processes away and kde doesn't seems to like it?
Anyone who knows a workaround? |

I'm having similar problems, but strangely enough only on a P4. A P3 works fine. Also using a Cluster Knoppix live CD works fine.
I've opened a bug report on this here: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37307 |
