iBook g4 and xorg 6.8 video-output

Please!!!
i need the video-output. I'm using kernel-2.6.9 and xorg-6.8
i tried using fbdev, and using the X native drivers for radeon and ati.

I was never able to get it to work... iBook G3 ATI Radeon. And it will be convenient for me too!

The only thing I found was some hack that consist of booting the iBook with the external monitor plugged in.

i tried too the trick of plug the external monitor and reboot.. so didn't work

With xfree4.3 i was able to use the external video so the laptop monitor was flickering, but almost it wokrs...

The problem is with xorg, the wiki refers too to xfree. So i still no hope

Who try it with xorg?

Hi

i downloaded the patch mentioned above, so the patc is for xfree and failled to apply to the xorg's radeon_drv but i did it manually

so it fails to compile

more ideas?
