vorhin hab ich den tip bekommen
einafch alle world und system files zu laden.
ganz toll, das sind vielleicht 100 Packete.
ich möchte alle Packete haben, die ich auch mit Internetzugang zur Verfügung habe.
es geht mir darum alle dateien zu laden, die ich brauche, zu hause gentoo von live-cd zu installieren, alles in /usr/portage/distfiles zu verschieben, und dann, als wäre ich online einfach mit emerge alles zu installieren, was mir gerade in den Sinn kommt.
wie kann ich mir genau diese dateien auf die festplatte holen |

hmmm du könntest dir ein shell/perl/c script schreiben, welches alle ebuilds (alle versionen!!) in /usr/portage durchgeht und zu jedem die benötigten files runterlädt. dann brauchst garantiert nichts mehr runterladen.

das geht so nicht.
du kannst nicht einfach so "alles holen"
weil a) nicht alles auf den entsprechenden mirror-servern liegt, und b) das soviel daten sind, dass dir vermutlich eine kleine 20gb platte nicht dafür ausreichen wird.
ich mein, es sind 15769 ebuilds bei meinem aktuellen sync, wenn du jetzt mal pauschal jedes tar.gz mit 2mb nimmst, dann bekommste schon allein über 30gb platz für die sourcen... ich weiss nicht ob das eine gute idee ist...

dann gibt es nur eine Möglichkeit:
gentoo auf dem notebook frisch aufspielen, alle distfiles drauflassen.
wenn alles installiert ist, die distfiles auf den anderen Rechner verschieben und dann dort alles installieren. |

hi,
ich weiss auch nicht, ob die leute, die die gentoo mirrors und den traffic
unentgeltlich zur verfügung stellen davon angetan wären, wenn die leute anfangen, sich die kompletten /distfiles zu ziehen... 
in anderen worten:
wäre reichlich asozial...
