Hope this is in the right forum, or hasn't already been answered...
I'm installing SELinux/Gentoo Hardened from the "stage1-x86-selinux-pie-ssp-20040611.tar.bz2" stage file, following the x86 SELinux Install Guide. The system bootstrapped successfully, and the emerge system process worked semi-successfully (I had some problems with Perl, which I worked around) until it got to the point at which it tried to emerge sys-apps/tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8... here is what the output tells me (in its entirety):
| Code: | >>>md5 src_uri ;-) tcp_wrappers_7.6.tar.gz
>>>md5 src_uri ;-) tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8-patches.tar.bz2
>>>Unpacking source...
>>>Unpacking tcp_wrappers_7.6.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8/work
>>>Unpacking tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8-patches.tar.bz2 to /var/tmp/portage/tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8/work
*Applying tcp-wrappers-7.6-makefile.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
*Applying various patches (bugfixes/updates)... [ ok ]
* 01_all_redhat-bug11881.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
* 02_all_redhat-bug17795.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
* 03_all_wildcard.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
* 04_all_fixgethostbyname.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
* 07_all_sig.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
* 08_all_strerror.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
* 09_all_gcc-3.4.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
*Done with patching
*Applying tcp-wrappers-7.6-shared.patch.bz2... [ ok ]
>>>Source unpacked.
make: *** [config-check] Error 1
!!! ERROR: sys-apps/tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8 failed.

LOG FILE = "/tmp/sandbox-sys-apps_-_tcp-wrappers-7.6-r8-5437.log"

The file "/proc/self/attr/fscreate" is empty, the log file contains only that line (open_wr:...).
I'm running the software on a Pentium II 266 with 192 megs of RAM, if that makes any difference... I'm logged on as root, I don't know why I don't have access to perform whatever action the emerge prcess was trying to do. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information to make a diagnosis, I'd be happy to provide it upon request. |

This is in bugzilla... it's a problem with a coreutils patch, and there's a workaround listed in that link. _________________ I code, therefore I am. |
