the package calls itself:

[ebuild N ] media-libs/imlib2-1.1.0 +X +gif +jpeg +mmx +png -tiff 0 kB

and I receive the following error when trying to emerge it(it's in the middle of the emerging process of mjpegtools):

Code:

>>> emerge (3 of 7) media-libs/imlib2-1.1.0 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) imlib2-1.1.0.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking imlib2-1.1.0.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/imlib2-1.1.0/work
nls
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: line 26: cd: /var/tmp/portage/imlib2-1.1.0/work/imlib2: No such file or directory
 * Applying 1.1.0-gcc-3.4.patch...

!!! ERROR: media-libs/imlib2-1.1.0 failed.

here that .out file:
Code:

***** 1.1.0-gcc-3.4.patch *****

===============================

PATCH COMMAND:  patch -p0 -g0 < /usr/portage/media-libs/iml
ib2/files/1.1.0-gcc-3.4.patch

can't find file to patch at input line 3
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|--- src/rgbadraw.c.orig        2004-04-27 03:41:29.8789957
52 -0400
|+++ src/rgbadraw.c     2004-04-27 03:41:32.294628520 -0400
--------------------------
No file to patch.  Skipping patch.
2 out of 2 hunks ignored
===============================

three other blocks follow with -p2, -p3, -p4 in the PATCHCOMMAND line with the same results

and finaly my USE flags:
Code:

USE="apm alsa avi cups divx4linux dvd -gnome -gtk kde mmx p
cmcia qt quicktime sse truetype usb"

thanks for any help.
I didn't know where to post, so I did here, but any admin: feel free to move this thread to wherever it may belong better :)

greets
patrick

I found out that there exists a folder named imlib2-1.1.0/ but not the searched one named imlib2

perhaps that's the reason?

Yes, that's the reason - perhaps try an "emerge sync" and try again? Things like that happen quite often, and seem to get fixed fairly quickly.
