Love-LiveCDv2
Hey - its my pleasure, again to announce the Love-Sources LiveCD.
the kernel is, 2.6.7-mm2 based, patched with v30g, wireless stuff, iteraid, reiser4 and squashfs.
the cd is this time ALOT smaller, despite the fact that ALOT more tools are included. this is because,
i compiled with gcc3.4, with -Os. and the use of SquashFS.
the size is: 69mb.

Are the tools included made packages?
Oh, and another thing: does it include swsusp2? coz it works very well on 2.6.7 (the 2.0.0.88 version) _________________ 0100100100100000011011000110111101110110

What snapshot did you use? I had a great deal of problems with most of them: oopses , crashes and stuff like that. Maybe it was because i was making a reiser4 on a loop device. _________________ 0100100100100000011011000110111101110110

If I remember correctly, your previous LiveCD included rsync. I don't see it listed now. Is this intended, did you forget to include it or is it still in but not in the posted list?

I remembered incorrectly then. I use rsync to backup and recover my files and I used it recently from a boot CD, I guess it must have been with Knoppix. |

/me adds rsync to livecd-stage1.spec - so it gets included in next cd |

Code: | # mount -o loop -t iso9660 ./LiveCD-Gentoo-Reiser4.iso /mnt/loop
# find /mnt/loop/zisofs|grep rsync
/mnt/loop/zisofs/etc/conf.d/rsyncd
/mnt/loop/zisofs/etc/init.d/rsyncd
/mnt/loop/zisofs/etc/rsync
/mnt/loop/zisofs/etc/rsync/rsyncd.conf
/mnt/loop/zisofs/usr/bin/rsync
/mnt/loop/zisofs/usr/sbin/emerge-webrsync |
Guess it was there after all.
Edit: Maybe catalyst included it as a dependency for portage to work. |

I just checked, the new CD has rsync too. I still think catalyst is putting it in there. I'm not sure why it's there but I'm glad it is. |

rtl8150 doesn't seem to be included (realtek chipset USB nics)
where can I grab 2.6.7-Redeman3 patch, so I can build the module on my other gentoo machine and copy the driver across?
(or if someone has it could they post it for me )
thanks!
