|
|
I just upgraded from 0.8 by upgrading the already emerged mozilla-firefox-bin, and now flash doesn't seem to work at all.
I doubled checked to make sure that the flash plugins existed in /opt/firefox/plugins/ (or at least sym linked from there)... which they are. Also, when I do "about:plugins" in firefox, it lists libflashplayer.so as being enabled. :\
When I go to a site with flash, the object is skipped over when the page is displayed, there's not even a space where the object should be.
I'm quite confused with this since it looks like it should be working since it's loaded and exists... it was flawless in 0.8.
Thanks in advance... |

Have you tried re-emerge-ing netscape-flash? _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor

more info:
If I browse to the flash object directly it works fine, but for embedded objects, nothing happens.
For instance, http://www.animationmentor.com/main.swf loaded in the address bar works great, but the if I browse to the domain and load the page, it doesn't work. |

Alright, so if you delete the chrome and extensions directories from your profile, it fixed it... of course, you'll have to reinstall all your extensions, but that isn't too hard.

Well, I reinstalled the flashblock extension and it works great, so everything that I had in 0.8 is working great in 0.9 |
