Hi, I just noticed this problem with aspell/kowrd. The same problem also exists when using aspell/kmail.
The problem is a follows: misspelled words are replaced incorrectly. The replacement seems to be shifted one character to the left, so the space in front of the word is replaced, and the last character of the misspelled word is not... ("the doog" becomes "thedogg").
Current workaround is to use ispell, but as aspell is doing a better job of finding replacement words, I really like to use that one...
I already filed a bug report, since I didn't find anything already: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8734
I found just one other reference to this problem so far in https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=8191... |

Just to let you all now, this bug is solved.
Use latest aspell (0.50.2) that is now in the portage tree. |

Yes, it is ok now
I already had the latest version emerged, but emerging it again solved it (probably a small change in the ebuild). _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
