|
|
While trying to install universalkopete, the ebuid failed. I did:
| Code: | | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -pv universalkopete |
which showed all dependencies were allready there. So, I removed the 'p'. The sources are downloaded, but then portage complains:
| Code: | !!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: 1428bad98637507216d1d553e584b864
>>> your file's digest: 850d76f29123367bab64ff1aa25782e4
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//universalkopete-0.1.tar.bz2
|
The file is downloaded, but trying to extract it manually failes. Even if I manually remove the downloaded file beforehand, repeating the process does not resolve the problem, so I doubt I'm seeing a random transportation corruption. I think the sourse archive that the ebuild references is corrupt. Does anyone have a clue what's going on? |

| Tried and get the same. Please fill in a bug report on bugs.gentoo.org to have the digest recreated. |

Anyone got this ebuild working yet?
According to the bug report the problem with the package should be fixed, but i'm still having the same problem as ATS had with it.
I did:
| Code: | | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge -f universalkopete |
and an md5sum on the tar.bz2 archive and edited my digest-universatkopete-0.1 file manually. But then the emerge failed saying that the .tar.bz2 not is a valid bzip2 file.
The last reply to the bug report was posted 3 days ago, so I assume all the mirrors should have been updated by now. |

Been a while and still no updated ebuild in portage. I checked out the bug report and an updated ebuild was posted there. This time the MD5 sum is fixed but the package still won't compile properly. I had to do (/usr/portage/net-im/universalkopete/universalkopete-0.1-r1.ebuild is the updated ebuild from the bug report):
| Code: | ebuild /usr/portage/net-im/universalkopete/universalkopete-0.1-r1.ebuild digest
ebuild /usr/portage/net-im/universalkopete/universalkopete-0.1-r1.ebuild unpack
cd /var/tmp/portage/universalkopete-0.1-r/work/universalkopete/
./configure
make
make install
|
and now everything works like a charm. |

| There were some errors in universalkopete.cpp. I posted a patch to the bug-report that fixes them. |
