Ciao!
Oggi ho fatto
emerge gdm,
poi ho editato
/etc/rc.conf
impostando come login manager proprio gdm. Infine,
rc-update add xdm default
Risultato: gdm parte all'avvio del pc, però: se provo a loggarmi con root, mi parte xfce4 regolarmente (unico wm che ho installato), se provo a loggarmi con l'utente normale, mi compare questo errore: "Could not find the GNOME installation, will try running the "Failsafe xterm" session". Dopodiché, posso solo dare OK e mi viene avviato xterm, anziché xfce4...
Che devo fare?
Noto anche che durante lo shutdown lo stopping di gdm provoca un errore.

quando avvii gdm puoi scegliere con quale wm partire.

Prova a inserire nome utente, poi scegli il wm, e alla fine la pass.

Durante lo shutdown un simpatico  asterisco rosso mi avvisa:
Error stopping gdm [!!]
Che significa? gdm funziona benone, però! |
