ok. may be there`s a bug submitted about this...but I couldn`t find it, so
take a look at the qt-3.2.3-r1 ebuild, at line 161 you`ll find this...
cp -r ${S}/doc ${D}/{QTBASE}
so, it copies the docs to /\{QTBASE\}/, not to /usr/qt/3/docs....there`s a missing '$' in there right?
May be if you did a 'USE="doc" emerge qt-3.2.3-r1' recently, you`ll find the {QTBASE} dir in /
if anybody could submit the bug please do so, because I just dont know how to do it. |

Well spotted. I couldn't find any bugs so I submitted one.

Using bugzilla isn't very hard, to submit a bug use the 'New' link at the bottom of the page, it will take you step-by-step through the process. Just make sure you search first.
BTW the problem's been fixed in the 3.3 ebuild
