This forum covers all Gentoo-related software not officially supported by Gentoo. Ebuilds/software posted here might harm the health and stability of your system(s), and are not supported by Gentoo developers. Bugs/errors caused by ebuilds from overlays.gentoo.org are covered by this forum, too.
I stuck switcher back in and it seems to be behaving now, I also upgraded my compiz-quinstorm to the latest cvs.
Can you say which option helps to "kill" that 100% CPU ussage bug ?
I can't say for sure, but I don't think I changed the order that much, I think the new compiz-quinnstorm update (compiz-quinnstorm-999 from the overlay, after clearing the cvs folder in the distfiles dir) made the biggest difference.
Yep, CVS version compiz-quinnstorm works much better.
I've a question for you lot; D'you have any ideas on why the decoration shadows do not work? Everything else is perfectly functional, except shadows. I realize this is a part of the decoration plugin, and after importing the schemas into gconf-editor, found the aforementioned settings. However, they seem to have no effect; there are no shadows.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm using compiz-vanilla, because as of portage-xgl revision 236, the compiz-quinnstorm ebuild fails.
hydra ~ # emerge -va dbus ivman
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] sys-apps/dbus-0.60-r4 USE="X doc gtk python qt -debug -gcj -mono -xml" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] sys-apps/ivman-0.6.8 USE="-debug" 0 kB
Total size of downloads: 0 kB
Would you like to merge these packages? [Yes/No]
I have a rather strange question; the gentoo box I want to get xgl running on has no internet connection. I download all the stuff from another machine with "emerge -pfv". When I want to emerge xgl, it wants to go off and download some stuff from a subversion server. Is there a way I could get that stuff from another machine so I can emerge it locally?
Would getting a kororaa live cd and then doing quickpkg xgl, and then transferring the xgl package to my machine work?
