Totally agree.el_Salmon wrote:Nspluginwrapper hangs my firefox often. I think it's very unstable yet. I don't suggest it to anyone.

Why?? You can use a 32bit version of kde-base/nsplugins with konqueror 64. It works much better than nspluginwrapper in firefox 64. I just copied the files from my 32bit chroot along with some required 32 bit libraries, and worked like a charm.Ryo Saeba 83 wrote:But i want to use it in konqueror too.

It mentions not the firefox 2 or java so I would say no.Compatibility
Bear in mind this is BETA software. The following plugins work reasonnably well:
* Acrobat Reader (5.0.9 and 7.0.1)
* DejaVu Libre (3.5.14)
* Flash Player (7.0)
* Linux JPEG 2000 (0.0.2)
* Mplayerplug-in (2.80)
* Real Player (10.0.5)
nobody? i tried to install manually, but no luckloftwyr wrote:nspluginwrapper has finally been updated and open-sourced. Anyone up to trying to make an ebuild to complie it from source?

it's a trivial (probably bugfix) update but now the source is available.
You don't need nspluginwrapper because you can't get Java embedded in 64 bit browsers yetMorpheouss wrote:exactly....Emopig wrote:The 64 bit version of Sun's Java runtime doesn't come with a nsplugin...Thrain wrote:Java has its own 64bit version, you don't need nspluginwrapper for it
SO?

Yes, I have the same problem. I get rid of it with a simple killall npviewer.bin .. but I guess that's no solutionroguetoad wrote:Lured by the promise of flash, i emerge nspluginwrapper. Flash does work. YAY! But npviewer.bin which seems to come with the nspluginwrapper territory chews a lot of cpu cycles ~50% for me even when I am not looking at anything flash-enabled. BOO!
Anybody else see this behavior? Or better yet, know what to do to get rid of it?
It seems to work well with flash 9Seppel wrote:Oh, it's already in the portage treeSeppel wrote:BTW: Gwenole released nspluginwrapper 0.9.90.4.
Ebuilds?
No, nothing special, nspluginwrapper worked directly for me.AaronPPC wrote:Did you use any special mojo to make flash work? I tried both 9.0.21.55 and 9.0.21.78 (and nspluginwrapper -i /opt/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so, of course). They almost work. I get the GUI stuff, but the videos do not play. At least nspluginwrapper doesn't seem to be crash-happy anymore.
This is happening to me as well; everything seems to work fine except videos. Is there someone else with this problem?AaronPPC wrote:Did you use any special mojo to make flash work?
