I work in the registrar's office of a local community college, and handle confidential records etc.

To make money on the side, I've done everything from pc construction and repair, to designing and implementing custom mysql database setups for those not wanting to hastle with the IT department (they are pro windows + IE and most of the time don't seem to know what they're doing, as I've had many conversations with a few of them)

I'm mostly a bum. Right now I am working on some construction projects, but only have a week until completion. Then I am moving back to my college town residence, hopefully will work during the upcoming sturgis motorcycle rally, my roommate assured me he can get me the hookup with one of his family members over there. Then school starts back up and I will have to find a part time evening / weekend job to pay for drinking money.

I work for a large international manufacturing firm doing tech support and R&D.

I support machine/PC communications for several plants worth of CNC machines, several applications used in the Die building industry, and general network operations for my department. I also support a Die simulation package which we now have running on a MPI cluster of RedHat 7.3 boxes. :D

I also do a little development of small applications and postprocessors. I was using VB/VBS, but I am trying to convert all development to python. All I need to do now is find a linux-based DNC app..... :(

In all, I get paid to do what I would be doing at home in my underwear for free. They pay me to put my pants on! 8O

I'm currently working for a manufacturer of CT machines doing some programming. This is only for the summer as I'm starting law school in about a month.

I do most of my forum reading at work and it kills me because I have to use windows here. I really need to set things up so I can ssh into my machine and do some of the neat stuff I read about.

Currently working for a marketing company, doing the work of the devil, telemarketing. It's not too bad, my schedule is EXTREMELY flexible, and the pay is decent. Right now I'm doing a promotional campaign for The New York Times (National and Northeast addition) we're trying to promote the home delivery service. I also do political campaigns from time to time, did some polls for Atlanta City Council President, and some other polls regarding the presidential election.
