So how can I get these icons to my default icons?
I mean that i shouldn't have to always browse the icons directory to find them.

A pal of mine runs Suse and made these changes to the icons.

If anyone is interested maby these can be uploaded for anyone to use.
Can't hurt with a section of green icons on the official page.
The person responsible for the icons on
www.gentoo.org, can PM me if this if possible.

Im sorta new to the linux scene. I use kde 3.1 and I was wondering if it was possible to build this into a theme for KDE since it seems to use a index. Or is there a way that these will be able to change the system icons in one shot. Any help would be appreciated.

Very nice icons. I'm new to the community, but would love to help out. Anyone have the PhotoShop file (.psd) or a layered png? It seems the links on the front are broken.
Thanks, and great work guys.

A lot of people seem to want a KDE Icon Theme of these icons. And while Ive never really used gentoo before, I wanted a KDE theme too cus these icons are really awesome. So... I made one.

Hope thats ok with you guys. Its up on kde-look.org. Here is the link:

This set also includes some Icons I made myself for apps that dont have icons for them. And I make a kmenu icon that stands out a bit more from the rest.
gimp templates

I read this already several times in this thread but it's still not fixed. The link on the icons.xml page to the gimp template isn't working.
I've found several other .xcf files here in this thread but all lack the purple shadow around it.
So, could somebody please repair the link or otherwise provide me with a template for the icons?
regards

Hi,
your gimp file is missing the most outer "glow"... anyway, I extracted this "glow" from the .png files and added another layer to your .xcf, now it kinda looks like it should.

btw, whoever did the openoffice icons, could she or he do one for oodraw too?

If you compare the image
with the image
you'll note (besides the different logos) a missing "outer shadow" in the first image. that's what i'm talking about.

Well thats strange, I think you've must have done something wrong cause the two Icons I have created above.. the Enemy-Territory and the Zsnes2 uses the same file and they have the shadow.
It seems that if you have smaller than original size icons on your desctop the shadow will not be vissible.
I've just done this (Zsnes3) icon with my file:

I belive you turned of that layer. There's an outer shadow layer in my file but I think I disabled it cause it looks realy strange in gimp

Quake II icon
It would really make my day to have one. I guess maybe with the how to for gimp that is mentioned above i might be able to make it myself. Anyhow, i wanna send in a pic of my desktop to the desktop readings section on planetquake, i figure it would look better with a Quake 2 icon and hopefully the people that read the site will be impressed with the look of linux
