Hey all,

I went ahead and gathered all icons in this post on my web site for easy access. The address is:

It should be up 24/7 but who knows (it's a win2k server, yeah, I know, I'll fix that little mis-hap when I get time

)

I've also set up an email address where you can send new icons:

icons@belkert.com

I will go ahead and make it look nicer as time goes by. I'll categorize everything and post whoever created the icons aswell.

If I forgot an icon or someting, please let me know. Also, be sure to make suggestions.

thanks duf - samba will do just fine as a network icon - if I get time next weekend and no-one does it first, I might try my hand at the k3b icon

Well, seems Bill has done it again.

I was just rejected from my web site as there were "too many accessing the site simultaneously".

Apparantly IIS for Win2kPro has a hardcoded limit of 10 users at one time. I will try to get gentoo/apache on there as soon as possible. Bare with me.

Hope nobody minds me joining in

whilst going against the grain a little with the colour scheme but I change my desktop so often I thought i'd try a few different colours. The first couple of attempts were a bit naff so in the end I tried a multi-purpose clear and having based it on the one by Port001 (many thanks for the originals- I love 'em and they're still in use in conjunction) the results are below. They can be a little hard to see so i've put a small strip of different coloured backgrounds at the bottom. I think dark works best with a colourise on mouseover, and please shout out if you want them removed for slowing down the page... or being an insult to art!!

The Ennead, I realy like those icons, also paractical! I liked the colour effect the forum background gave the icon and it made me inspired so I made one similar.

These icons rule! I installed em for everything in my kicker, but I had one app that isn't in the set so I took a stab at creating it

ok.
but its only online when i am. i think im gonna go sleep at 00:00 (CET) so then it will be down.
thats about 3:15 hours from now.
and it will be up from i think 7:00 tomorow.

Gentlemen:

For some time now I've been trying to track down the source files for that purple Gentoo "g" that we all know and love. I'm trying to find the original 3D file, so I get it exactly right. If I can't, then I'm going to just trace this one and make an SVG:

port001, nice, I like it!! Truth be told it's probably closer to what i'd originally planned and it also takes the mousover colourise a lot better through having a gradient background rather than transparent.
Still can't quite decide on whether or not bluey purple looks right though?

Good idea. I will do that when things are slowing down. As it is now, I'm updating the thing all the time

When updates occur on a daily basis and not every hour, I'll put the date on the web site. Putting date and time there now would just confuse people (and me) since we're not on the same clock

In my opinion, I think that you could speak on the first page (main) about the xcf template by L-Chamber, because all the icons that I've made, it was with his xcf template. And maybe you can make a link to the gentoo forums. Finally I like your web site, it's nice and simple, just good !

If you can't update your first topic, maybe you can just make a link to the site of mabe, it will be easier for you, but it's true that is better to update your post

The Ennead:
Is it possible to have a xcf template ?
I don't have photoshop and I couldn't get it ! But I like your icons, so if you (or anybody else) can make a xcf template, it will be great or if there is a simple to open PSD file without segfault... I don't know why but gimp segfault when I try to open a PSD file.
So forget what I said, with the gimp on the mdk9 of my parents, I can open without segfaults PSD File, so it's ok, I will work on some news icons when I will go home.
