Gentoo-sources has just been updated to 2.4.25 ... The prevous kernel was linux-2.4.22-gentoo-r7... Ive upgraded my kernel, but ive hit a little problem.
Where has the following section in make menuconfig gone?

Character devices --->
Hardware sensors support --->
|
Since this my lm_sensors has stopped working.
Anyone know how i can re-add this section or have i gotta wait for a bugfix? Should i report this to bugzilla?
Cheers. |

It seems like the i2c patches aren't included in this release as opposed to 2.4.22-r7. I have also experienced all sorts of problems due to this. In short, bttv and i2c/lm-sensors-2.8.1 don't go together now, whereas everything is peachy with 2.4.22-r7. Time for a feature enhancement request. _________________ Please read our FAQ Forum, it answers many of your questions.

They aren't included. They were problematic to keep in sync with versions of the utils in portage. Emerge i2c and lm-sensors to get hardware sensors support.

Resolving as invalid as the i2c and lm_sensors patches won't be in gentoo-sources anymore.
