I wish I could help you, but I have the same thing going on.
I have also noted that my presently-installed eroaster doesn't seem to fine gnome.ui when running as a normal user, but works fine as root. |

Seems to be a known bug. You can add yourself as CC to this report and wait for it to be officially fixed. Or try to fix it as suggested in the bug comments.
But what is strange is that I can't reproduce it here. What is, for you, the results of the following two commands? | Code: | # qpkg -l -I gnome-python
# python -c "from gnome.ui import *" |

| Quote: | Um... I had the same problem. What I did to 'fix' it was to re-emerge gnome-python (with USE=gnome) and afterwards eroaster merged fine. Then I went and re-emerge gnome-python with USE=-gnome and presto, eroaster failed to merge once more.
I am not sure how having gnome-python without gnome support breaks things, but that's the solution that worked for me, maybe it'll work for you too?

I think this may be the problem. I will try it out and report back. I do have -gnome as one of my USE flags...that could be it.

I had the same problem, my previously emerged eroaster complained about gtk and I couldn't get *any* version to emerge due to the compile script gnomme-python problem.
As mentioned above, I reemerged pygtk and then reemerged eroaster -- problem went away for me.
Good thing, too, eroaster is an excellent burning program! _________________ -Dalcius |
