Pure-ftpd slowness

the masked version of pure-ftpd (pure-ftpd 1.0.16c) seems really slow when i try to connect to it. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there anythign i can try to correct the problem? Thanks.

i tried the 1.0.16b version and it was worse. so im not sure. ill just wait and upgrade as nessacery.

iam using pure-ftpd v1.0.16b and it works great , mysql auth, virtual users , nice setup .. never had problems with it.

also have glftpd on another port, just incase.

I'm also using pure-ftpd v1.0.16b with no problems.

Maybe you should try another daemon just to be sure

could it be anythignin my conf file? maybe passive ports? just wondering... i dont have problems wiht it connecting it just seems a lil slow. can i get a link to test against mine and see if theres a big differance?
