I also enable "enable experimental features" in general tab of Option
not helping to change macro security

Solution...because I came across this bug in Sabayon too:

sudo chmod 777 lib/libreoffice/basis-link/share/registry/main.xcd
geany lib/libreoffice/basis-link/share/registry/main.xcd
(or use whatever text editor you have eg: gedit, kate)
find MacroSecurityLevel using the find feature
change the macro security value to whatever you like following that;
<value>0</value>
0=lowest, 3=highest, 2=default.
save file
sudo chmod 444 lib/libreoffice/basis-link/share/registry/main.xcd

Try out your ODF document with macros.

Great. I have started a Bug Report here: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364069

Let's see if we can get this fixed, eh?

As for lo-bin, according to the last comment to that bug, lo-bin-3.5 should be OK, but it's not in portage yet.
BTW, the main.xcd workaround works for met too. I suggest to use '1' to get prompted for enabling macros when a document is opened. Also note that on gentoo-amd64 the correct file to edit is:
Code:
/usr/lib64/libreoffice/basis3.4/share/registry/main.xcd

Cheers,

^s

I have LO 5.1 on Ubuntu 12.04 without graphical interface (on server). Tried to change parameter MacroSecurityLevel (<value>_</value>) in main.xcd but it didn't help (Security Level in LO was not change).
