some buttons in eclipse 3.4-r2 don't work

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

There's something really strange in eclipse, some buttons work while others not. For example Source -> Generate constructor using fields... The buttons Select-All and Deselect-All work fine but the Up and Down do not respond. If I click them the remain pressed while the mouse hovers them. If i press enter or space that time the buttons works normally.

I' using eclipse-sdk 3.4-r2
with sun-jdk 1.6.0.17, although i have also the version 1.5.0.22 installed, eclipse uses the former. And my system's vm is sun-jdk-1.6.

Hi,

It seems this is a known issue, I've found this link:

http://forums.opensuse.org/pre-release- ... ttons.html

Setting the following environment variable before launching eclipse will fix this:

Code: Select all

export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true

I also have this problem. I will try out this fix. Thanks. :)
Who shall guard the guards?

I tried this fix and the buttons still dont work. What is happening is that I get locked on to a button. Once i press it with a mouse, it is the only element that i can do any action on unless i use keyboard controls. Even then, various elements of the keyboard controls are broken.

As you can imagine, this makes for installing any plugins virtually impossible (I actually havent been able too yet).

I think the best solution at this point is just to downgrade, which i am going to try doing later.
