Source Control Management question

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

Source Control Management question

Post by yuwy » Fri Sep 14, 2007 11:58 pm

I would like to know if there are any source control management programs out there that has a complete set of functionality via the web browser.

One of the options comes to mind is using git with gitweb however I'm not sure if gitweb can commit a file via the browser. I know gitweb can track all commits done to the tree but as for commiting a file via the browser is something I would love to know if its possible. Or hell if there are any source
control management programs out there that can do this kind of thing.

Yes, several. Trac is pretty nice. It acts as a web front end for Subversion.

WebDAV is an extension to HTTP protocol, not an external application.

I suggest to use Subversion in command line.

"Version Control with Subversion" book can be very useful.

yea after looking at most of the popular source control tools, none of them have a full set of commands via the web interface.
