Compile Direct Connect from source

I noticed that there is a source available on the DC++ homepage http://http://www.dcpp.net

Does anyone know if its possible to compile the source under linux [and how

DC++ relies on the windows API. Porting looks like it would take quite a bit of effort. If you don't want to use an alternive application, it looks like running under wine is your best bet.

There is GNU/Linux port of Dc++ called LinuxDcpp. Works well for me. More info (and ebuild) here:

There's a Finnish how-to available for desktops using apt-get. The command listing might help a bit even though the how-to is in Finnish.

That summary is of linuxdcpp. For gentoo users, I think the thread linked above is better.
