On my AMD64 Gentoo system, portage system behave very strange.
When I type: "emerge --newuse -pvuD world" system want to upgrade package "ant-core" and "ant-task" to version 1.6.5. When I upgrade those package and again type "emerge --newuse -pvuD world", now system want downgrade package "ant-core" and "ant-task" to version 1.6.2. When I downgrade those package, system again want upgrade them to version 1.6.5 and again and again. This is happend since I have need add those package to keywords, because I need them to compile another package ( I think it was eclipse-3.2)
I have:
| Code: |
=dev-java/ant-tasks-1.6.5-r2
=dev-java/ant-core-1.6.5-r13
|
in /etc/portage/package.keywords. Also other packages that are need to compile those packages.
Anyone known what I should do to prevent this behaviour?
Thanks |

Did you mark dev-java/ant as well in package.keywords?
Cheers,

Yes that was it, i have done it time ago. But there is error in ebuild. Eclipse 3.2 needs dev-java/ant-core and dev-java/ant-task but do not need dev-java/ant. So man automaticaly unmask ant-core and ant-task but nothing want unmask dev-java/ant also.
Edit: I have filled bug report https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148974 |
