File is not moved to trash when click on "Move to trash

This is a strange problem :

whenever I want to delete a file , I right click on it, and click move to trash.... However, when double click on the Trash icon on the desktop, there is no sight of the file in the Trash folder....

However, if I do ls -la ~/.Trash, all deleted files are in there.... It seems that the Trash icon on the desktop does not point to the right ~/.Trash folder.

Anyone knows how to fix this problem, thanks....

First I would try removing the .Trash folder and restarting kde.

If that fails (Its a bit extreme) but when ever any of my users have a problem with their kde desktop I find the simplest cure-all is to blow away all the .kde folders from their home directory, remove all files from ~/Desktop and restart kde. Couple of minutes tweaking everything back how they like it and problem (usually) solved.

Make sure you backup all your .kde folders & Desktop (just in case) :)

I just tried your method, but it does not work, and I think it's not a user-specific problem because every user under the same machine has the same problem, even root user...

Therefore, I think there is some problem at global namespace.... Thank you....

I had the same problem and the suggestion in this post fixed it for me.
