Yep. qingy uses DirectFB, with does its own graphic initialization, so I cannot do anything about this.rcs wrote:is the splash black, then graphic initialization (with nasty colors) necessary? It happens when qingy first starts up, or when switching between consoles.
Sorry? You are writing that after qingy runs, your display is no longer using framebuffer, or what?rcs wrote:I have a 1400x1050 framebuffer on beginning in very early boot, and I want to continue that all the way through.

You need to look in the theme file to change font sizes. As far as what font you want, you just place the font that you want in the theme file and voila! A different fonttoocO.ol wrote:hi,

I have since fixed the xdm problem which was a missing line in my rc.confrpb wrote:I have a similar problem as legine.
I don't know if I can log into my X through qingy, cause i've got another (seperate) problem since upgrading to qingy-0.5.2 (and upgrading 100drs of other stuff), if I login with qingy i just get thrown back to the black login. I get similar results trying xdm so its not qingy's fault but my setup somewhere. so i'm startx'ing now. But with qingy-0.5.2 my qingy did not freeze my system.

XSESSION="icewm"Umm cant say it reverts to text mode. I would say it hangs. I only see the textmode curser and refuses to react on anything. I think I found out that from time to time quingy stoped simply at 99% CPU.s4t4n wrote: What do you mean by crash? It reverts to text, mode, hangs your machine, restarts, or what?

Well, either you passed qingy the -t command line arg (which tells it to do text-only login), or you have something ill configured in your machine. Try passing qingy the --verbose arg, and see if it tells you something useful.Bolli wrote:does anyone know how to get graphic login in qingy?
i emerged ansd edited like the wiki said, but i don't get any graphic. just the textmode login with wingy instead of agetty.
i really done it like the wiki.
has anyone an idea please?
GoodBolli wrote:merci i didn't found an --verbose switch
just -v and that lead me to the same than without it.
i got my solution i hadn't set up the directfbrc correctly i just have done like the wiki but with my mode, and i fails course i couldn't be red by qingy.
i removed this file and it worked
merci
