It seems that dev-db/mysqltool has been removed from portage.
I've found this to be a really useful tool. Why was it removed? |

from the project home page:
| Code: | Important Note
MysqlTool was written by Joseph Ingersoll and others at Dajoba, LLC. I had no involvement in its development other than proposing a few minor features. I am providing it on this web site as the Dajoba web site is apparently no longer available.
MysqlTool is provided on an AS-IS basis with NO WARRANTY and NO SUPPORT.
If you have trouble with MysqlTool, DO NOT EMAIL ME ABOUT IT. I do NOT have the answers to your problems. If you email me about MysqlTool, at best your email will be ignored, but if I am having a bad day, I'll put your email address in a special section of this page for public ridicule and spam fodder. You have been warned! |
the project is dead, there are others web front-end to use _________________ Arch Tester for Gentoo/FreeBSD

| But why remove it? Just because it isn't being maintained anymore doesn't mean it's suddenly not working. |

i don't know, i have always seen the project in a masked state, so i think that was not stable and/or complete; however, there are a lot of other web front-end, try to learn one. _________________ Arch Tester for Gentoo/FreeBSD

No, I'll just get the ebuild out of the CVS history and put it in my local portage.
It's a waste of time to learn a new tool when I have one installed that works perfectly for me and I already know how to use it. |
