|
|
From the Prelink Doc:
| Quote: | | Portage automatically generates the file /etc/prelink.conf that tells prelink which files to prelink. |
I emerged prelink, my portage is up-to-date, but there is no /etc/prelink.conf
How can I create or get one? |

| from what i've read it is created about an hour afterwards, it scans your hdd in the background what is possible to prelink and then it creates the file. |

it used to be:
in your "/etc/make.conf" add prelink to the FEATURES part
do | Code: | env-update
source /etc/profile |
now your prelink.conf should be there... but this is based on experiences of 2 months ago so it may have changed... |

Hey, that were fast replies
Thanks for the answers. I'm going to wait an hour or so (I think I can hear my HD working right now ), and then -- in case the file isn't there-- try aardvark's suggestion. |

This seems to be the case, still. This ought to be documented. |
