Problems with "emerge gnome"

I am using gentoo 1.4 rc3

I am getting the following error when I am doing "emerge gnome"

What happens when you follow the instructions?

I have the same problem.

I get the same digest from my mirror or ibiblio. If I remove the file and download it again I get the same digest and the same error. I can unpack the archive.

How can I manually install the package so that I can move on?
