emerged fluxbox and fvwm to check them out and I find gnome is not working anymore...
I choeese the gnome session, and half way through its loading I get an error saying that a panel allready is running and that it will exit/terminate.
how can I kill that panel.
killall gnome returns: no process was killed.
thank you. |

This is kinda a last resort but whenever that happens to me, I just shut down X, do rm -fr .gnome .gnome2 and start X back up and that fixes the problem. That is less than optimal I know because you lose your gnome setup. But its a last resort. _________________ Use saferdomainsearch.com to safely search for domain availability. |

TIP: you can simply delete your gnome session file: ~/gnome2/session. It will destroy only the list of applications to bring up when Gnome starts. _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
