|
|
I was following the guide on Gentoo Forums here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=274968
I finished it but when I go to boot my new install I get this
Code: |
* Mounting proc at /proc... [ok]
* Mounting sysfs at /sys...
can't create lock file /etc/mtab~1067: Read-only filesystem (use -n flag to override)
|
Then it continues to here:
Code: |
* Remounting root filesystem read-only (if necessary)... [ok]
* Checking root filesystem...
Failed to open the device '/dev/hda3': No such file or directory
|
Using gentoo-dev-source-2.6.10-r6 and udev per the guide. Not sure If i should include anything else so I'll just end it off here, please help |

What filesystems did you use and is the support for them compiled into the kernel? |
