To anybody with GMail: Did you get six invites today?

I've noticed that multiple people on another board I frequent have gotten six invites sometime between today and yesterday. Just wondering, is this a GMail-wide thing?

I had 5 invites, and sometime in the past 2 days gmail gave me another one, so the total is 6 (btw, if any of you want those invites, I can give them)

Google has _the_ best marketing skills. GMail at first sounds like a closed community you can only get in if you know someone well connected... But for a long time already, just anybody can get in with no real effort.

I must resist them, I refuse to have GMail!

Maybe they realised that I use only 1/7 of how I should use my gmail account, therefore needing to add 6 more ppl like me
